Laundry was almost done and I didn’t feel like standing there waiting for the last cycle, so I sat on the floor and opened the bonus rules a friend had mentioned earlier. Read through the part about wagering, checked one example, and closed it when the machine beeped. Felt longer than I expected for something that should be straightforward.

Rules pages always look denser than the games themselves to me. Watched someone scroll through one on a laptop last month and they paused on a couple of lines then switched tabs. Different from the short notes that used to sit next to the machines. I never stay long enough to read the whole thing. Mostly notice whether the text is easy to scan and if the important parts stand out. I still prefer when the main points are short enough that you can check them while something else is finishing.
